Ovral G

Ovral G INDICATIONS: Ovral G is intended to Treatment delayed menses, endometriosis, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, including emergency treatment of acute episodes, dysmenorrhea, and menstrual cycle irregularities. COMPOSITION Each tablet Ovral G contains: Norgestrel I.P. 500 microgram and ethinyl estradiol I.P. 50 microgram.

Dosage and ADMINISTRATION:

Suspension Menses: This one tablet should be taken daily starting from 20 Day eight days before the expected date of menstruation. When this dosage, the menstrual period may be postponed to 40 day about two weeks over the time.
Endometriosis: Treatment is a continuous (noncyclic) with one G Ovral tablet daily periods of 6-12 months. Where observation or breakthrough bleeding occurs, the dose may be increased to 2 or rarely 3 tablets a day.
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding: If the emergency treatment of acute bleeding, the initial dose is 2-4 tablets a day until the bleeding stops. Later, the daily dose is reduced to 1-2 tablets, and continued until a total of 20-21 days of treatment has been carried out. The patient should be advised that withdrawal bleeding occurs in 3 days of the termination.
Less severe or chronic cases, the dosage is one tablet per day 20-21 days begin on day 5 during the menstrual cycle. Tablets are then discontinued the next 7-8 days. If breakthrough bleeding occurs, the dose may be increased to 2, or rarely, 3 tablets a day. The dosage should be continued 3-6 rounds.
Dysmenorrhea and Menstrual Irregularities: If you want to achieve maximum efficiency, Ovral G is considered as directed, and up to 24 hours. Patients should be advised to take the tablets at the same time each day, preferably after the evening meal or bedtime.
The first cycle of administration, the patient is advised to take G Ovral tablet daily for 20-21 consecutive days, starting on day 5 of his during the menstrual cycle. (The first day of bleeding is day 1). Tablets are then discontinued the next 7-8 days. Withdrawal bleeding usually occurs 3 days after the last tablet was taken. The next and all subsequent courses will begin on the 8/9th day after closing, even if withdrawal bleeding has not occurred or is still ongoing.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Deep vein thrombosis (current or history)
Thromboembolism (current or history)
Cerebral or coronary artery disease
Thrombogenic valvulopathies
Thrombogenic rhythm disorders
Diabetes with vascular involvement
Uncontrolled hypertension
Known or suspected to have cancer, breast cancer or other known or suspected estrogen-dependent neoplasia
Hepatic adenomas or carcinomas, or active liver disease, as long as liver function has not returned to normal
Known or suspected pregnancy
Hypersensitivity to any component "OVRAL G"

Overdose

Serious side effects are not reported in the acute ingestion high doses of Ovral-G young children.
Overdose can cause nausea, and withdrawal bleeding may occur in women.
